About Us
My name is Tara Lee and I am the owner of Wicked Bird Designs and selling rocks and crystals under my DBA as Tara Crystals. I started Wicked Bird Designs in 2020 making and selling Horror themed items and transitioned to rocks and crystals in 2023.
How it all began
My love for rocks and crystals actually started thanks to my niece. A couple of years ago, I wanted to find the perfect crystal carving for her—something special and meaningful. That search led me to an online live auction app where sellers were showcasing the most beautiful pieces.
Then I saw them — a stunning pair of Amethyst butterfly wings on a stand — and I knew instantly they were the ones for her. But something unexpected happened after that… I couldn’t stop watching. Before I knew it, I was bidding on crystals for myself and falling completely in love with their beauty, energy, and history.
What started as a simple gift turned into a full-blown passion. To support my growing crystal addiction (and share this magical world with others!), I decided to expand my small business and start selling crystals too. I began sourcing from trusted wholesalers around the world and now share my finds with you.
I love learning fascinating facts about each stone—their origins, meanings, and metaphysical properties—and nothing makes me happier than passing that knowledge and excitement along to others.
My favorites:
- Carvings - skulls, horror, and anything weird and unique
- Crystals - All UV reactive but especially Volcano Agate, something about that green glow just makes me fall in love with it every time. Garden Quartz is also a weakness of mine. I can stare into the little world in each creation for hours and get lost.
- Specimens - ones that have UV reactions are definitely my favorite but I want one of each specimen!
